History

     Joseph H. Boer opened his Blue Heron restaurant on July 4th 1984.

January of 1984 he purchased what was the home of Glen and Alice Woods and in the few months that followed his friend and builder J.D. Shaw transformed the home into what is now
The Blue Heron Restaurant. 

The Blue Heron Restaurant has offered Fine Wining and Dining for Romantic Adults in a relaxing and casual atmosphere since 1984. Before dinner take in the view as you sit poolside on the patio high on a bluff overlooking beautiful Lake Ozark. Dine inside and choose from an established menu of offerings such as his originally developed and perfected Batterfried Lobster Tail as well as his unique and original Oil and Vinegar style dressing and make selections from the expansive 
Wine Spectator Award Winning wine list. 
The Blue Heron is recognized by locals and visitors as an exemplary restaurant. It has been frequented by world-wise clientele for their special events and memorable occasions for generations and has become a destination restaurant.
